GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH
DEPARTMENT OF HORTICULTURE
invites the Applications for appointment to (95) posts of Horticulture Officers carrying
the
time
scale of
Rs.16150-450-17050-490-18520-530-20110-570- 21820-610-23650-650-25600-700-27700-750-29950-800-32350-850-34900- 900 -37600-970-40510-1040-42590
on regular basis under General Recruitment in the Department of Horticulture in Andhra Pradesh State.
Total No.of Vacancies: 95
These posts are governed by A.P. Horticulture Service Rules [Special rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.776, Food & Agri. (Agri.II) Department, dt.15-9-1989] and the General Rules and other Rules shall also be made applicable wherever necessary. The 40% of posts are Open to Local and Non-Local candidates and 60% of posts are reserved for local candidates of the respective zones as per Presidential Order.
Qualification:
1)
As per Rule-5 of Special Rules for
A.P. Horticulture Services issued
in G.O.Ms.No.776, Food & Agri. (Agri.II)
Dept., dt.15-9-1989, a candidate
must possess B.Sc. (Horticulture) or M.Sc.(Agriculture)) with specialization in Horticulture of a recognized university in the State or any other university/institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission.
In terms of the special
rules amended by the Government vide G.O.Ms.No.355, Food
& Agri. (Agri.II) Dept., dt.7-3-1992, first preference shall be given to the candidates who possess B.Sc. (Horticulture) qualification. However, the candidates with M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Horticulture will be considered only when B.Sc.(Horticulture) candidates are not available.
Under the provisions of G.O.Ms.No.12, Agri. & Coop. (Horti.)
Dept., dt.11-1-1996, in respect of SC/ST candidates, B.Sc. (Agriculture) qualification will be considered when B.Sc. (Horticulture) candidates are not available.
Note: Candidates who studied 3 years B.Sc. degree
with Horticulture or landscaping etc. as one of the optional subjects or 3 years Diploma
in Other degree colleges/ Universities which are not recognised by ICAR
are not eligible for the
post. Hence, need not apply.
Age:
Candidates must be within the maximum age limit of (40) years as on 01-7-2015. The age relaxation in respect of SC, ST, BC and PH candidates shall be allowed as per the provisions under Rule-12 of A.P. State & Subordinate Service Rules and the limitation thereon as per rules in force for the recruitment.
Mode of selection:
There will be no test or interview
for selection of the candidates. The Selection of candidate shall be as per merit, based on the aggregate
marks computed for 100 marks,
i.e., up to a maximum
of 75 for the OGPA/
Traditional % of marks secured
by them in their B.Sc. (Horti.) or M.Sc. (Agri.) Horticulture or B.Sc. (Agri.)
(only in case of SC/STs), plus marks for seniority from the date of passing of the said qualifying examination @ One Mark per year for each completed year up to a maximum
of 10 Marks, plus marks for experience if any, as on 01.02.2015 @ 4 marks per year subject
to maximum of 15 marks for the satisfactory service rendered in the Department of Horticulture as Horticultural Officer/ Horticultural Consultant on outsourcing / contract basis only provided
if they full fill other conditions. The service rendered on contract/ outsourcing in different
spells shall be computed for arriving at the total period of experience in completed years and any part thereof, shall be ignored.
Experience:
The Service Certificate shall be issued by the Dy. Director
of Horticulture/ Asst. Director of Horticulture of the concerned district/ District Collector/ Commissioner of Horticulture. Working experience in other Government departments/ organisations will not be considered for counting
of marks for the purpose of experience. The Service Certificate shall contain dated signatures and it shall be attested by the Asst. Director of Horticulture who is presently working in the respective districts.
The candidates are advised to send their bio-data in the format appended along with certified copies of supporting documents in two sets, in respect of Age/ Qualification along with Memo of Marks/ Community/ Residential Certificate (in case of private study)/ Experience etc., along with two recent Passport size photos. The bio-data format is available

The candidates who are working in other Government Departments/ Organisations/ Semi-Government Organisation/ Banking Sector shall submit their applications through proper channel on or before the stipulated date.
The last date for receipt of application in
the prescribed proforma is 28-02-2015 by 5:00 PM in the O/o Commissioner of Horticulture, Public Gardens, Nampally,
Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad,. Applications received late after the cut off date and time/ incomplete applications/ non-enclosing of required
copies of certificates/ enclosing of illegible copies of certificates will be summarily
rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
Furnishing copies of certificates at a later date will not be entertained and the candidates shall not have any right or claim in all such cases. All the enclosures should be stitched
with thread or neatly tagged to the Bio-Data
Form along with check-list.
Any form of campaigning in selection
process if noticed,
applications of such persons are liable for rejection
without any intimation and without assigning any reasons therefor.
The selected candidates on appointment as Horticulture Officers
have to pass Agricultural Department Test, Accounts Test for Executive Officers and 2nd Class Language
Test in Telugu within two years from the date of appointment as per A.P. Horticulture Service & General Rules.
The Commissioner of Horticulture, A.P., Hyderabad reserves the right to modify,
to increase or reduce or cancel any part or all the vacancies
which are notified,
at any time without any notice.
