⚡1970: ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్లో ఒంగోలు జిల్లా అవతరణ. తరువాత 1972 డిసెంబర్ 5 వ తేదీన జిల్లా పేరును ప్రకాశం జిల్లాగా మార్చారు.
⚡2011: టెలికాం మంత్రి ఎ. రాజాను 2011 ఫిబ్రవరి 2 నాడు, 2జి స్పెక్త్రుం కేసులో అరెస్టు చేసి తీహారు జైలులో ఉంచారు. 2012 మే 15 నాడు 2జి ట్రయల్ కోర్టు బెయిలు మంజూరు చేసింది.

💙1923 : వెలమాటి రాందాస్ వైద్య శాస్త్రవేత్త. శ్వాస వ్యవస్థ వైద్యులలో అగ్రగణ్యుడు.

💙1940: ఎస్. వి. రామారావు, ప్రముఖ తెలుగు సినీ రచయిత.

💐1911: రావాడ సత్యనారాయణ, ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయం వైస్ చాన్సలర్‌గా పనిచేసి 1972లో ఉద్యోగవిరమణ పొందారు.
💐1916: ఆకొండి వ్యాసమూర్తి శాస్త్రి, ప్రముఖ కవి, పండితులు.
💐1922: కోపల్లె హనుమంతరావు, జాతీయ విద్యకై విశేష కృషిన వారు. (జ.1880).
💐1999: వేదుల సూర్యనారాయణ శర్మ, ‘శే్లషయమక చక్రవర్తి’ వేంకటాధ్వరి సంస్కృతంలో రాసిన లక్ష్మీసహస్ర మహాకావ్యాన్ని శర్మగారు అతి మనోహరంగా తెలుగులో అనువదించి తన ప్రతిభను చాటుకున్నారు.
💐2012: అట్లూరి పుండరీకాక్షయ్య, తెలుగు సినిమా నిర్మాత, రచయిత మరియు నటుడు. (జ.1925)
